I was born in Wisconsin and raised in San Diego. I began playing drums around the age of 12.
In the high school days, I was in a cover/orginal band called Desire that featured Scott Hackwith on guitar. Scott went on to have success with his band Dig and also produced the album Acid Eaters for The Romones. I also played in a cover band called White Heat which played a lot of the same type of material that Monsters of Rock does today.

Sometime after that I had my first experience in the recording studio with guitarist/song writter Brett Ellis. I then played in another cover/original band called Night Crew which later morphed into an all orginal band Cynical Man. It was around this time I built a small home recording studio and produced a couple of demos and really got into song writting.
Now, memories are a little bit fuzzy on the cronology, but sometime in between those projects I did a recording project with a band called Medusa which featured Veronica Freeman on vocals and Pete Wells on guitar. Later down the road we got back together and formed Malady. I produced a CD with that band and we did a lot of cool shows at 4th & B, Canes, Brick By Brick and some others. We opened for Warrant, Great White, Union, Bullet Boys, UDO, Rough Cutt, Saxon, Lizzy Borden, Lynch Mob and Quiet Riot. Pete and Veronica have gone on to form Benedictum and are having success in Europe.
After the split with Malady and suffering some personal tragedies I took a little time away from music, but then was fortuate to hook up with Monsters of Rock. It’s less like a cover band and more like a great rock concert!
