Sergio Estrada - guitar

Born and raised in San Diego, CA, Sergio has been involved in the music scene, in one way or another, since he was a wee lad of 16. He was a member Sweet Vengeance from in 87-89 playing at legendary venues such as Rios, The Bacchanal, The Spirit (Which is now known as Brick by Brick), and the Palisades Theatre. While it seemed that the band was on the brink of major success it was not meant to be.

After Sweet Vengeance broke up he decided to go to college and work towards a career. During this time also worked as a stage hand and spot light operator at the Bacchanal Showcase Club alongside major acts such as Nine Inch Nails, Faith No More, Bjork, John Entwhistle, and the Ramones, to name just a few. Eventually graduating from SDSU he went on to become, a Language Arts/Bilingual Education and Video Production teacher at a local middle school.

While he loves being a teacher, he began to miss the fix he got from performing live music. So began his quest and long story short, today he’s proud to be a guitarist in MOR, playing heavy metal alongside some of the best musicians anywhere.

“I feel very fortunate to be where I am today. I have a career I love and I also play in a band where I get to play my guitar through an amp that’s turned up to 11. It’s like I’m Jack Black in School Of Rock. Life is great!”
